Job summary

Exceed HR and Recruitment is seeking a Junior IT Consultant to join our Paarl team. You will diagnose hardware issues across devices, provide first-line IT support, and manage hardware purchases and Microsoft 365 licensing.

You will also coordinate with IT contractors for second-line support and assist in developing internal applications, leveraging AI tools to boost daily productivity in a diverse technology environment.

Qualifications

• Any experience with a programming language will be a strong advantage.
• Demonstrates active use of AI tools to improve productivity and problem-solving in daily tasks.
• Previous exposure to a broad technology stack across networks, hardware, and software will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP systems or other transactional based systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware faults across desktops, laptops, network, printers, and peripherals.
• Provide 1st line IT support to internal users and manage 2nd line support in event of escalation.
• Manage hardware purchases for the firm.
• Manage Microsoft tenant, including user accounts, licenses, Microsoft 365 administration, and other software licensing for the firm.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with IT contractors as 2nd line support whom we outsource for hardware, programming, and licenses.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of internal applications as a secondary function.
