Ninety One is seeking a proactive Investment Operations professional to oversee reconciliation processes with our external custodian SSBT, ensuring timely resolution of breaks and clear audit trails. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, supporting operational excellence within our asset management operations.

The role requires strong communication, risk awareness and data-management skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and robust documentation.

Qualifications

Experience liaising with individuals at all levels and across business.
Understanding operational aspects of an Asset Management organisation.
Ability to identify reputational and financial risk.
Understanding third party service providers and data management.
Experience leveraging AI platforms (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) to improve efficiency and decision-making.

Responsibilities

Oversee cash and stock reconciliations performed by State Street Bank & Trust Co (SSBT).
Ensure breaks are identified, investigated and escalated promptly.
Maintain clear audit trail of break investigations and outcomes.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to communicate breaks impacting Funds or Mandates.
Escalate unresolved or high-risk breaks to senior stakeholders and maintain documentation.
