Job summary

West Coast Personnel in South Africa is seeking a Stores Supervisor to manage daily stores operations and ensure accurate stock records across receiving, storing and dispatching activities. You will coordinate with project managers, site supervisors and suppliers to guarantee material availability, monitor stock levels and support stock audits and reconciliations while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent is required.
• Experience in stores, warehouse or inventory management is required.
• Experience in electrical, construction, engineering or infrastructure sectors is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of stock-control, receiving and inventory procedures.
• Computer literacy with stock-management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily stores operations, including receiving, storing, issuing and dispatching stock.
• Maintain accurate stock records, inventory reports and supporting documentation.
• Control electrical materials, tools, equipment, consumables and project-related stock.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors and suppliers to ensure materials are available when required.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.
• Report stock shortages, damages and discrepancies promptly.
• Supervise stores personnel and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Ensure compliance with stores procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Maintain systems for stock security, traceability and accountability.
• Assist with stock audits, cycle counts and reconciliation of variances.
