Takealot Group in Cape Town is seeking a Financial Accountant - Inventory & Stock Optimisation to own the end-to-end inventory financials across 1P and 3P. The role combines IFRS accounting with commercial, AI-driven process improvements and automation initiatives.

You will partner with Retail, Marketplace and Operations to optimise stock value, manage WACP, automate reconciliations, and deliver timely stock reporting to the CFO and Head of Finance.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–4 years’ experience in ecommerce, retail, FMCG, or a data-heavy finance environment.
• Experience with stock and ERP system integrations.
• Ability to build automation projects within finance.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Own full inventory accounting for 1P and 3P stock.
• Manage stock valuations and reconciliations across warehouses.
• Oversee WACP calculations and automation projects.
• Design automated reconciliation frameworks.
• Partner with Operations to drive financial recovery and confidence in stock data.
• Prepare inventory reporting for CFO and leadership.
