Job summary

West Coast Personnel in Cape Town is seeking an analytical Inventory Controller to oversee stock control, reconciliations and logistics across wholesale, retail and warehousing environments.

You will reconcile stock, investigate discrepancies, coordinate monthly stocktakes and cost reconciliations, and work with Finance, Procurement, Warehouse and Operations.

The ideal candidate has a Finance or Accounting qualification, strong Excel skills and experience with inventory and accounting systems.

Qualifications

• Completed Finance or Accounting qualification – essential.
• Proven experience as Inventory Controller or similar.
• Strong finance experience and reconciliation skills.
• Intermediate Excel skills essential.
• Experience in wholesale, retail or warehouse inventory.
• Understanding of stock costing and supply-chain procedures.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and reconcile daily in-store stock counts.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Coordinate monthly stocktakes across stores and warehouses.
• Monitor stock receiving, dispatching and movements.
• Prepare inventory reports and assist stock audits.
• Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Warehouse and Operations teams.
