Placements24 is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist for their Mossel Bay store to maintain accurate stock, run cycle counts, and reduce discrepancies. The role focuses on data integrity, timely receiving and dispatch, and collaboration with sales and operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory management or stock control.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of retail operations and supply chain principles.
• Physical ability to lift and move stock as required.
• Willingness to conduct physical inventory counts.
• Must be able to reliably commute to Mossel Bay, Western Cape.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain accurate inventory control procedures.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory counts.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between inventory records and physical stock.
• Manage incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring accuracy in receiving and dispatch.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential losses, and areas for improvement.
• Work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure stock availability.
• Oversee stock rotation and ensure optimal stock freshness and quality.
• Implement measures to reduce shrinkage and stock damage.
• Operate inventory management software and related hardware.
• Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and discrepancies.
