Oxford University Press is looking for an Inventory Administrator in Cape Town to oversee the administration of import titles across Africa. This crucial role involves raising purchase requisitions, managing purchase orders, and ensuring the accuracy of import invoices and stock data.
The ideal candidate will have a qualification in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration, with 2-3 years of relevant experience in a publishing environment. Proficiency in SAP and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Oxford University Press (OUP) has established an integrated global Manufacturing, Inventory, and Procurement Planning function, bringing together key supply chain activities to drive efficiency, collaboration, and operational excellence.
Working as part of the Inventory and Manufacturing team, this role is responsible for the administration of import titles across Africa. You will be responsible for raising purchase requisitions to match the demand plan for import titles and communicate with the manufacturing team to execute the purchase orders.
You will be responsible for the administration of the purchase orders and ensuring any issues relating to the titles flagged in the system are resolved within the set timeframes and purchase orders accurately reflect the required titles.
This is a crucial role in ensuring the demand plan for import titles is executed and customer needs are satisfied.
The Inventory Administrator will report to the Inventory and Manufacturing Manager. This post is based in Cape Town, at the Goodwood office.
