Universityinfo, in Soweto, Gauteng, seeks an Internal Audit Specialist to strengthen our expanding audit function. You will plan and execute audits, assess controls, and propose practical improvements across business units.

The role requires 4+ years in internal or external audit, strong analytical skills, and solid COSO knowledge. Collaboration with management is key to enhancing governance and risk management.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, or a related business field.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CISA, or CA(SA) is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or a related control function.
• Solid understanding of COSO, risk management principles, and auditing standards.
• Proficiency in data analysis techniques and relevant audit software.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to prepare reports.
• High integrity, professionalism, and objectivity.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit assignments.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits according to the annual audit plan.
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls, identifying risks and gaps.
• Perform detailed audit testing and document findings in audit working papers.
• Develop practical recommendations to address audit issues.
• Communicate findings to auditee management and senior leadership.
• Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure closure.
• Assist in risk assessment to identify key audit areas.
• Stay updated on regulations and best practices in auditing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
