Job summary

Capitec Bank Ltd. in Stellenbosch seeks an Intermediate to Senior UX / Product Designer to shape digital experiences for merchants, customers and internal teams. You’ll contribute across the product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery and ongoing improvement.

You’ll work with Product Managers, Engineers and stakeholders to solve problems, design journeys, wireframes and high-fidelity interfaces in Figma, while advancing design systems and accessibility.

Qualifications

• Qualification in UX Design, Product Design, HCI, Graphic Design or related field
• At least 3 years' experience in UX/Product Design or similar role
• Strong proficiency in Figma
• Experience designing digital products from discovery through delivery
• Experience creating journeys, wireframes, prototypes and interaction designs
• Experience in cross-functional product teams
• Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement
• Portfolio showing design thinking and end-to-end product work

Responsibilities

We're looking for an Intermediate to Senior UX / Product Designer to join our Merchant Solutions team in Stellenbosch. This is an opportunity to work on products that support merchants, customers, and internal teams, helping shape experiences that are intuitive, useful, and built for real-world use

What you'll do

As a UX / Product Designer, you'll be involved throughout the product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery and continuous improvement.

You will:

• Solve complex customer and business problems through thoughtful design

• Design end-to-end user journeys and workflows
• Create wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs using Figma
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers and key stakeholders

• Contribute to design standards, best practices and design systems
• Help create products that balance user needs, business goals and technical constraints

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualification in UX Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design or a related field
• At least 3 years' experience in UX Design, Product Design or a similar role
• Strong proficiency in Figma
• Experience designing digital products from discovery through to delivery
• Experience creating user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and interaction designs
• Experience working in cross-functional product teams
• Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
• A portfolio showcasing design thinking, problem-solving and end-to-end product work
