Job summary

ATS Client in Midrand, Gauteng seeks a Senior UX/UI Designer to lead customer‑centric design for financial services products. You will work with cross‑functional teams to translate data into compelling experiences, in line with Brand CI and regulatory standards.

You will map journeys, research customer needs, and deliver solutions that improve interactions while mentoring teammates and contributing to business strategy. Strong accreditation awareness and testing mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years UX/UI design experience required.
• Experience in the Financial Services industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize data-driven designs.
• Lead use of voice of the customer initiatives and journey mapping.
• Identify customer pain points and advise on reducing negative experiences.
• Research and analyze data to understand customer segments and needs.
• Define and deliver products and services meeting customer needs within existing systems.
• Build strong relationships and provide high-quality services to support business strategy.
• Suggest improvements to processes, systems, and procedures.
• Deliver change management plans for small scope initiatives.
• Support implementation of differentiating customer experience initiatives and testing.
• Act as subject matter expert and stay updated on regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Work effectively with cross‑functional teams to conceptualize products and services, leveraging data to drive original design ideas and decisions using Brand CI.
• Lead implementation and performance of techniques such as voice of the customer initiatives, journey mapping, and qualitative touchpoint analysis.
• Identify customer pain points, challenges, and hurdles; advise on approaches to eliminate negative experiences and enhance customer interactions.
• Conduct research and analyze data to develop a sound understanding of customer segments, trends, needs, and expectations.
• Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches within established systems.
• Build effective working relationships and provide high-quality professional services to support delivery of business strategy and plans.
• Identify shortcomings and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems, and procedures.
• Deliver plans for small elements of change management programs.
• Support the implementation of differentiating customer experience initiatives, tools, and processes, including testing.
• Act as subject matter expert. Maintain external accreditations and an in-depth understanding of emerging regulations and industry best practices.

Education

Experience
