Job summary

Hatch is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our Mining Infrastructure Engineering team in Johannesburg. The role covers design, assessment and delivery of surface and underground mining-related infrastructure across project phases, working with multidisciplinary teams locally and abroad.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years postgraduate project experience in engineering consulting, EPCM or mining environments.
• Registration as a Candidate Engineer with ECSA; Professional Registration progress is preferred.
• BSc/B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical design basis and criteria.
• Develop technical specifications and piping designs from concept through execution.
• Prepare technical discipline documentation for enquiries and procurement.
• Perform mechanical and piping analyses and design calculations.
