Job summary

Qualifications

Integration Engineer

Duration: Permanent

Location: Somerset West, Cape Town

Overview:

• We are seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to design, build, and support integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of databases, APIs, and software integration principles, coupled with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• This role is well suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, working directly with clients, and delivering robust integration solutions in a fast-paced environment. Strong performers will have the opportunity to progress into a Projects Lead role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure endpoint access for customer applications and services across test and production environments.
• Design and implement integration solutions.
• Collaborate with clients during testing, quality assurance, and deployment phases to ensure production readiness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues.
• Provide support and guidance on complex integration scenarios when required.
• Maintain clear documentation and communicate project progress with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Previous experience in software implementation, business analysis, software testing, technical support, or a similar role.
• Good understanding of integration concepts and technologies, including:
  • HTTP
  • REST and SOAP APIs
  • SQL and relational databases
  • FTP and file systems
• Experience working with SQL databases and writing database queries.
• Experience using API testing tools such as Postman is beneficial.
• Basic scripting experience in any programming language is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is advantageous.
• Flowgear Certification is advantageous.
