You will collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, legal, and claims teams; analyze trends; draft new wordings; and monitor product performance to support customer-centric insurance solutions.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and analytical Insurance Policy Analyst to join their growing team based in Tembisa, Gauteng . This role is pivotal in developing, reviewing, and maintaining the integrity of our insurance product offerings. The successful candidate will be responsible for examining policy language, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to the strategic direction of our insurance products. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong research capabilities, and a thorough understanding of the insurance market dynamics. You will play an integral part in shaping the future of our insurance portfolio, ensuring it remains competitive and customer-centric. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret complex insurance policies, including policy wording, terms, and conditions.
• Conduct research on market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes affecting insurance products.
• Develop and draft new insurance policy wordings and endorsements, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
• Review and update existing policy documents to reflect regulatory changes or strategic adjustments.
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, legal, and claims departments to ensure product consistency and effectiveness.
• Assess the impact of proposed regulatory changes on existing and future insurance products.
• Assist in the development of product training materials for sales and customer service teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the insurance industry, specifically in product development, policy analysis, or regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of various insurance lines of business (e.g., life, non-life, health).
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
• Proficiency in legal and policy drafting principles.
• Familiarity with South African insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
