Job summary

Neptune in Limpopo, South Africa seeks a qualified Instrument Technician to ensure reliability, efficiency and safety of plant equipment. You will perform planned and unplanned maintenance on instrumentation and plant assets, and execute maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

The role includes standby duties, risk assessments for maintenance activities, training and mentoring Learners and Handymen, and contributing to safety, quality and KPI targets in the department.

This opportunity is suited to a qualified and motivated Instrument Technician who is committed to ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of plant equipment. The successful candidate undertakes planned and unplanned maintenance on instrumentation and plant equipment, executes maintenance schedules, performs standby duties, and conducts risk assessments for maintenance activities. The role supports the achievement of Electrical Engineering KPIs by ensuring optimal equipment performance, reliability, and minimal downtime.

The successful candidate also provides training and mentorship to Learners (Apprentices and Students on Attachment) and Handymen, contributing to skills development within the department while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
