Job summary

Octotel is seeking an Installations Supervisor in Cape Town to oversee field installation teams, ensuring high‑quality Fibre installations and outstanding customer service. You’ll manage daily installs, refine processes, and ensure projects finish on time, within budget, and to safety standards.

The role requires leadership, FTTH/FTTB knowledge, and the ability to coordinate resources, schedules, and documentation while keeping stakeholders informed.

Qualifications

• Completed grade 12 or equivalent.
• 5 years' experience in fibre, telecommunications, network installations, or a similar field-based technical environment.
• Minimum 2 years' supervisory/team leadership experience, managing installation teams or field technicians.
• Good understanding of fibre installation practices, FTTH/FTTB environments, and network infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating daily installation schedules, resources, technicians, and work orders.
• Strong knowledge of installation quality standards, health and safety requirements, and operational procedures.
• Ability to conduct quality checks, identify installation issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Good communication, coaching, and people-management skills.
• Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
