Placements24 partners with a Centurion-based secondary school to appoint an innovative Computer Science and Technology Educator for Grades 8–12. The role blends classroom teaching with potential remote engagement and requires SACE registration and strong tech-enabled pedagogy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with teaching qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of high school CS/IT teaching experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Java and web technologies.
• SACE registration is mandatory.
• Experience with hybrid teaching models is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver curriculum for Computer Science and Technology including programming languages, web development, data structures, and cybersecurity.
• Develop and implement project-based learning activities to foster practical skills.
• Assess student understanding through coding challenges, practical assignments, and examinations.
• Maintain and manage school computer labs and resources.
• Collaborate with IT and faculty on technology integration initiatives.
• Mentor students in coding competitions or technology clubs.
• Support digital literacy across the curriculum.
