The Department of Human Settlements in Johannesburg is recruiting a Director for Infrastructure Procurement on a 12-month contract to design and manage infrastructure procurement policies and lead tender processes across the unit.

The role requires a Matric plus an undergraduate degree (NQF 7) in SCM/Logistics/Commerce/Finance, at least 5 years at middle/senior management, SMS Pre-Entry, and knowledge of IDMS and public service prescripts with strong leadership and financial oversight.

Qualifications

• Matric plus an undergraduate qualification Degree (NQF level 7) in SCM/Logistics/Commerce/Finance.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience at middle/senior management level.
• Possession of the SMS Pre-Entry Certificate is required prior to appointment.
• Knowledge of Public Service prescripts and IDMS; performance management.

Responsabilités

• Develop, design and manage infrastructure procurement policies, processes and procedures.
• Establish construction procurement processes and procedures; promote sound practices.
• Manage tender committee inputs, bid documentation, and tender evaluation.
• Monitor supplier performance and contract requirements; ensure compliance.
• Direct inputs to strategic plans and performance plans related to procurement.
• Plan and allocate work within the sub-directorate and compile admin reports.
