Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Analyst with a compliance focus to join our Soweto team. You will assess controls, identify gaps, and implement strategies to ensure adherence to security policies and regulatory standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years in information security, and you will collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to strengthen data protection and risk management across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Law, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in information security, compliance, or risk management.
• Understanding of data privacy laws and cybersecurity frameworks (POPIA, GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Familiarity with security controls and risk assessment principles.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in Soweto.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance with information security policies and regulations.
• Monitor security controls and processes, identifying areas for improvement.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of security documentation, including policies and procedures.
• Investigate and report on security incidents, focusing on compliance implications.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to facilitate compliance reviews.
• Stay informed about evolving cybersecurity threats and regulatory changes affecting the organization.
