Placements24 is partnering with a Pretoria-based industrial company to recruit a dedicated Purchasing Officer. The role focuses on acquiring industrial equipment and parts, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement aligned with budgets and quality standards.

This on-site position requires strong vendor management and ERP proficiency to support maintenance and engineering teams.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience with industrial equipment procurement preferred.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

Aufgaben

• Manage end-to-end purchasing process for industrial equipment, spare parts, and consumables.
• Identify potential suppliers, evaluate capabilities, and negotiate pricing and delivery terms.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Liaise with internal departments (Engineering, Maintenance) to understand equipment requirements.
• Monitor delivery schedules and expedite orders when necessary to prevent production delays.
• Maintain a database of approved suppliers and their performance records.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
• Assist in managing inventory levels of critical spare parts.
