Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Buyer to manage procurement of industrial equipment, machinery and services for on-site operations in Mahikeng, North West. You will negotiate terms, manage supplier relationships and ensure timely delivery to support maintenance and operations.

The role requires 3–5 years in industrial procurement, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle). On-site collaboration with technical teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; strong analytical ability.
• Experience in industrial procurement and MRO preferred.
• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure industrial equipment, machinery, spare parts, and services.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contracts with suppliers.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance evaluations.
• Maintain procurement records, POs, and vendor contracts.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance and operations teams on specifications.
