Job summary
Placements24 is seeking an Installation Technician to join our Bloemfontein team. The role involves on-site installation, calibration, and initial testing of industrial equipment, with a hybrid mix of hands-on work and remote administrative tasks.
Travel to various sites is required. You will interpret technical drawings, use hand and power tools, and ensure safety and quality standards during every installation.
Qualifications
- Experience installing and commissioning industrial equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Proficient with hand and power tools used in installation work.
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel to multiple sites within the Bloemfontein area.
- Hybrid role with occasional remote administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Install industrial machinery and systems per blueprints and specs.
- Test and calibrate equipment to ensure performance and safety.
- Troubleshoot installation issues with senior technicians or engineers.
- Maintain clean and safe installation sites and document safety checks.
- Provide client handover and basic guidance after installation.
- Record installation activities, parts used, and time spent on each project.
