About the Role

Our client, a leading manufacturer of specialized industrial machinery, is seeking an experienced Industrial Equipment Installation Manager to oversee installation projects in the Sandton, Gauteng region and surrounding areas. This role requires a blend of on-site supervision and office-based management, offering a hybrid work arrangement. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful completion of complex equipment installations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. This position demands strong leadership, meticulous project management skills, and a deep understanding of industrial processes and equipment installation methodologies. You will lead teams of technicians and engineers, coordinate with clients, and ensure all installation phases meet our client’s rigorous requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of industrial equipment installation projects from initial planning through to commissioning.
• Develop detailed project schedules, resource allocation plans, and budget forecasts.
• Supervise on-site installation teams, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal departments to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all installations comply with relevant engineering codes, safety standards, and company policies.
• Manage project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and final sign-offs.
• Oversee the commissioning process, including testing, calibration, and client acceptance.
• Facilitate effective communication between all project stakeholders.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve installation processes and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
