About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and results-oriented Industrial Engineer to focus on Supply Chain Optimization, based in Mahikeng, North West . This role is critical in enhancing the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability of the company's supply chain operations. You will be responsible for analyzing current logistics, inventory management, and distribution processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategic solutions. This is an on-site position requiring strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in optimizing complex supply chain networks.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze existing supply chain processes, including logistics, warehousing, and inventory management. Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the supply chain and propose actionable solutions. Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and minimize costs. Design and improve warehouse layouts and material flow to enhance operational efficiency. Utilize data analysis and modeling techniques to forecast demand and plan resource allocation. Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Implement and manage supply chain technologies and software solutions. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain performance. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards. Lead or contribute to projects aimed at improving supply chain sustainability and resilience.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a specialization in supply chain and logistics. Proven experience in supply chain analysis, network design, and optimization. Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, specialized supply chain software). Knowledge of inventory management techniques and warehouse operations. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and project management abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively. Ability to work effectively on-site in Mahikeng, North West . Familiarity with lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous. Understanding of global trade and customs regulations is a plus.
