Placements24 seeks an experienced Industrial Engineer for on-site duties in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will analyze and improve material handling, warehousing, and production-line operations to maximize throughput while minimizing costs.

You will design layouts, perform capacity planning, and implement SOPs, working with IT and automation teams to integrate new technologies and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years hands-on experience in industrial engineering with focus on logistics, warehousing, or production line optimization.
• Experience in process mapping, simulation, and layout design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Visio, and process simulation tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles in a logistics environment.
• Experience with WMS and ERP systems desirable.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be based in or relocate to the Tembisa, Gauteng area.

Mansioni

• Develop and implement optimized layouts for warehouses and production facilities to improve material flow and space utilization.
• Analyze production line balancing, throughput, and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement.
• Design and refine material handling systems, including selection and implementation of equipment.
• Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to ensure adequate resources meet demand.
• Develop and implement SOPs for material handling and production processes.
• Utilize simulation and modeling tools to test and validate process changes.
• Collaborate with IT and automation teams to integrate new technologies into workflows.
• Track and analyze KPIs related to production efficiency, inventory accuracy, and order fulfillment times.
• Provide technical support and training to operational staff on new processes and equipment.
