About the Role

Our client, a well-established manufacturing entity located in Kimberley, Northern Cape, is actively seeking a dedicated Industrial Engineer to focus on process improvement and the implementation of lean manufacturing principles. This role is essential for driving operational efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing overall productivity within their production facilities. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas of waste, inefficiency, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement lean manufacturing initiatives, including value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen events, and Kanban systems.
• Design and optimize workflows, layouts, and operational procedures to enhance productivity and reduce lead times.
• Conduct time and motion studies to establish performance standards and identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with production staff, supervisors, and management to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Train employees on lean principles and problem-solving techniques.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for optimized processes.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained throughout process improvements in the Northern Cape facility.

Requirements
