About the Role

Our client, a leading manufacturing firm located in East London , is actively seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join their team. This role is focused on driving process improvements and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles across their operations. You will be responsible for analyzing production systems, identifying waste, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The position involves a Hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement and waste reduction.
• Develop and implement strategies based on Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
• Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflows and improve productivity.
• Collaborate with production teams and management to implement process changes and ensure successful adoption.
• Design and optimize plant layouts and material flow to enhance efficiency and safety.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, quality, and cost.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to address production challenges and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new manufacturing technologies.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial engineering role, with a strong focus on process improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
• Proven experience implementing Lean tools and methodologies in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable conclusions.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and CAD tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Experience in project management is beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Must be able to work effectively in a Hybrid capacity, commuting to the East London site as required.
