About the Role

Our client, a leading e-commerce and logistics provider, is seeking an Industrial Engineer with expertise in logistics and warehousing to join their operations in Paarl, Western Cape. This hybrid role will involve analyzing and optimizing warehouse operations, material flow, and inventory management systems to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. You will be responsible for designing efficient layouts, implementing best practices, and leveraging data to drive operational improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in industrial engineering principles, specific experience in logistics or supply chain environments, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping, to identify inefficiencies.
• Design and implement optimal warehouse layouts, material flow strategies, and storage solutions.
• Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities.
• Utilize simulation and modeling tools to test and validate proposed operational changes.
• Implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to track warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
• Work with technology teams to integrate and optimize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
• Conduct time and motion studies to improve work methods and productivity.
• Identify opportunities for automation and recommend appropriate solutions.
