Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize distribution operations in Soweto, Gauteng. The role focuses on improving efficiency, capacity, and cost-effectiveness across distribution centers and supply chains.

You will analyze workflows, design layouts, and implement Lean-driven improvements to ensure accurate, timely order fulfillment while collaborating with on-site teams and learning continuously in a dynamic distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or distribution ops.
• Basic understanding of Lean principles in warehousing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Excel for data analysis.
• Familiarity with CAD for layout design is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work on-site and learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current logistics and distribution processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Design and optimize warehouse layouts, material flow, and storage systems.
