Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer focused on lean manufacturing to join the Vereeniging production team. The role drives continuous improvement, eliminates waste, and boosts productivity through hands-on collaboration with production staff.

You will implement lean tools, develop standard work, and lead Kaizen events while tracking KPIs and mentoring teams on lean principles in a dynamic industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience applying lean principles in a production environment.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma is a plus.
• Strong production planning and control knowledge.
• Hands-on problem-solving and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Champion and implement lean manufacturing tools and techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Kanban.
• Analyze production processes to identify and eliminate non-value-added activities and waste.
• Develop and maintain standard work instructions and best practices for all production operations.
• Facilitate and lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement workshops.
• Track and report on KPIs related to productivity, quality, and cost.
• Train and mentor production staff on lean principles and their application.
