Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to enhance production systems in Soweto. You will analyze, design, and implement improvements to manufacturing processes to meet quality, efficiency and safety standards.

Collaborate with production teams to identify bottlenecks and develop data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering with at least 3 years in a production environment, and strong Lean manufacturing expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimim of 3 years of experience in industrial engineering within a production environment.
• Proficiency with Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies.
• Experience with process mapping and simulation software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current production systems to identify bottlenecks and areas for efficiency improvement.
• Design and implement optimized workflows, layouts, and material handling systems.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste and improve process capability.
• Conduct time and motion studies to establish production standards and optimize labor utilization.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
