Placements24 is seeking a Specialist Industrial Electrician in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal to maintain and repair complex electrical systems in an industrial plant, including high voltage equipment and control panels.

You will install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance, read schematics, work with PLCs, and ensure safety standards. A qualified Electrician with 4+ years' experience and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified Electrician with a relevant trade certificate (e.g., NQF Level 3 or equivalent).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, principles, and practices, including AC/DC circuits, motors, and control systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting; basic programming knowledge is advantageous.
• Familiarity with South African electrical regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Must possess a valid driver\'s license.

Aufgaben

• Install, inspect, test, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including power distribution, control panels, motors, and instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective repair solutions.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide work execution.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, electrical codes, and company policies during all work activities.
• Work with PLCs for troubleshooting and basic programming adjustments.
• Respond to electrical emergencies and perform necessary repairs to restore operations promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and parts used.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and production teams to ensure coordinated efforts.
