About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Electrician to join their operations team in Mahikeng , focusing on essential energy infrastructure maintenance and development. This hands‑on role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within power generation and distribution facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of critical electrical components, adhering to stringent safety protocols and industry standards. This is an ideal position for a qualified electrician looking to build a stable career within a vital sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, inspect, test, maintain, and repair electrical power systems, motors, control circuits, lighting, and related equipment.
  • Read and interpret complex electrical blueprints , schematics, and technical documentation to perform installations and repairs accurately.
  • Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and failures, diagnose root causes, and implement effective repair solutions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and reliability of electrical infrastructure.
  • Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with safety regulations, codes, and company policies, including lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Operate and maintain electrical testing equipment and hand/power tools safely and effectively.
Requirements
  • Trade Certificate (e.g., Wireman's License) as an Electrician.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician , preferably in the power, manufacturing, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Proven ability to work with high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, control panels, and PLCs.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety principles, NEC (National Electrical Code) or relevant South African standards.
