Job summary

Xelvin is recruiting junior maintenance professionals for roles in the Netherlands. Trained with a RED SEAL or equivalent, you’ll handle mechanical and electrical maintenance, including conveyors, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics, with PLC faultfinding experience and a willingness to work shifts.

Fluency in Afrikaans and English is required as the company operates in Dutch environments. A valid driver’s license and passport are necessary for relocation and travel.

Qualifications

• Red Seal or equivalent trade qualification with PLC experience.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Experience in maintenance on conveyors, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics.
• Experience in a food or production environment.
• Willing to work shifts and hold a valid driver’s license and passport.
• At least 3 years in maintenance.

We are looking for passionate, junior maintenance professionals with experience in a production environment (agricultural environment, manufacturing/production industry, or Food) to join us in the Netherlands!

Who are you:

• A RED SEAL (Trade Tested), N5 or N6, Millwright or Electrician (with PLC reading & faultfinding experience);
• Fluent Afrikaans and English (a must, as the company's language is Dutch);
• All-round experience (a balance of mechanical and electrical maintenance on machines);
• Experience with conveyors, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, troubleshooting, welding, Siemens PLC (a plus), relays, frequency switches;
• Experience in a food or general production/manufacturing environment;
• Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on machines in a production line;
• In possession of a valid driver’s license & passport;
• Willing to work in shifts.
• 3+ years experience;

What do we offer?

Contract wise:

• 2-year contract followed by permanent placement.
• 25 paid holidays a year (+ potential ADV days)
• Public holidays, with a maximum of 7 per year, which are paid by Xelvin.
• Holiday allowance of 8.33% (instead of 8,0%) over your total gross annual income. Paid each year in May.
• Overtime and shift allowance will be paid by Xelvin accordingly.
• Travel allowance of €0,23 per km, for the use of travelling to work and back home.

The salary will be around €4357 gross a month
