Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Technician with a specialization in industrial automation to join our client’s team in Polokwane. The role focuses on installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining automated control systems, including PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs, to keep production running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, experience reading electrical schematics, and a track record of delivering reliable automation solutions in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrical Technician with experience in industrial automation.
• Proficiency with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
• Experience with VFDs and HMIs.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain industrial automation systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA).
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control system faults to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and automated equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logic.
