Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a patient and dedicated Special Needs Educator Assistant to support lead educators in a Randburg learning environment. You will help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and foster inclusive education, aiding children to develop academic, social, and life skills.

You will work closely with the teaching team to monitor progress, communicate with parents, and provide one-on-one assistance during lessons and daily routines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is essential.
• Familiarity with various learning disabilities and developmental challenges.
• Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in delivering tailored instruction and support to students with special educational needs.
• Implement individual learning strategies and behavior management plans as outlined in students' IEPs.
• Provide one-on-one support to students during lessons, activities, and daily routines.
• Help students develop personal care skills, mobility, and social interaction abilities.
• Monitor student progress, document observations, and communicate effectively with the teaching team and parents.
