WhatJobs Direct is seeking an experienced Elderly Caregiver to provide compassionate, personalized care in Bloemfontein, Free State. This non-remote position involves assisting with daily living activities, mobility, meals, medications, and companionship in clients' homes or a care facility.

The ideal candidate will have prior caregiving experience, basic first aid and CPR knowledge, and strong communication skills.

Qualifikationen

Prior experience as a caregiver, preferably with the elderly.
Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
Patience, compassion and a genuine desire to help others.
Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical stamina for lifting and transferring.

Aufgaben

Assist elderly clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Help with mobility, including transferring clients between beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for adverse reactions.
Perform light housekeeping duties, such as tidying rooms, laundry, and dishes.
Accompany clients to medical appointments and social outings.
Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
Monitor clients' health status and report changes to supervisors promptly.
Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering respect and dignity.
Ensure the safety and security of clients and their living environment.
