Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Director of Outdoor Adventure Programs to lead a wide range of activities in the Kimberley region. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and overseeing programs, ensuring safety standards, training staff, and maintaining equipment.

The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, risk management expertise, and a passion for connecting people with nature, delivering memorable, safe adventures for participants of all ages.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in managing outdoor adventure or recreation programs.
• WFR or equivalent advanced first aid certification is essential.
• Proven experience in risk management and developing safety policies for outdoor activities.
• Strong leadership, communication, and program development skills.
• Experience with budget management and staff supervision in an outdoor setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a diverse portfolio of outdoor adventure programs, ensuring safety and quality.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate a team of outdoor program leaders and guides.
• Establish and enforce rigorous safety protocols, risk management plans, and emergency procedures.
• Manage the budget for outdoor programs, including staffing, equipment purchase, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with marketing to promote programs and ensure high participant engagement and satisfaction.
