Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3-4 years of fundraising, development, or sales experience.
• Proven track record in securing donations and grants.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for persuasive appeals.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Experience with donor management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet annual revenue goals.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations.
• Research and write compelling grant proposals and funding applications.
• Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns, both online and in-person.
• Manage donor communications, acknowledgments, and stewardship activities.
• Maintain accurate donor records and utilize fundraising databases effectively.
• Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop fundraising materials.
• Track fundraising progress and provide regular reports to management and the board.
• Stay informed about fundraising best practices and relevant legislative changes.
• Represent the organization at fundraising functions and networking events in the Vereeniging region.
