Job summary

Permanent in Johannesburg, Gauteng invites an ICT Functional Specialist – Finance to lead ERP finance workstreams and partner with business leaders in a transformative IT program.

You will design, configure and test the SAGE 300C Finance solution, write BRDs, train end users and support month-end/year-end processes while aligning functional specs with technology teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in ERP implementation.
• Functional certification in SAGE Finance is required.
• Experience with integrated ERP environments and exposure to SCM/HCM is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional support to end-users at 2nd and 3rd line levels.
• Support and optimize the System Functional platform area.
• Provide month-end and year-end activities support.
• Train end users on the job.
• Plan, lead and participate in design, configuration and testing of solutions.
• Write business requirement documents and other functional/technical documents.
• Identify functional gaps and provide corrective actions to meet client specs.
• Implement solutions to streamline business processes and workflows.
• Work with business to unpack requirements and translate to technology.
• Participate in IT projects as part of transformation agenda.
• Lead the Finance stream during project implementations.
• Ensure project deliverables meet customer expectations.
• Support project team in developing reports, interfaces and extensions.
• Create and manage user manuals, FAQs, and test scripts.

Minimum 8 years’ experience in ERP implementation, Preferable SAGE 300C Finance.
Functional SAGE Certification – Finance, Required.
Experience in integrated ERP environments with exposure to SCM and/or HCM processes will be advantageous.
Functional system support:
Provide functional support to end- users, at 2nd and 3rd line level.
Supporting and optimizing the System Functional platform area.

System optimization:
Work with Functional business process owners and relevant
Functional stakeholders to translate business requirements to technology solutions.
Prioritize and implement enhancements.
Plan and perform various tests (integration and system testing).
Work with business analysts and developers in converting the business solution into technical designs.
Identify functional gaps and provide corrective actions.
Projects:
Actively participate in all IT projects forming part of the transformation agenda.
Lead the Finance stream during project implementation.
Ensure that project deliverables meet customer expectations.
Support project team in developing reports, tables, fields, data interfaces and application extensions.
Documentation:
Create and manage appropriate documentation relating to creation of user manuals, FAQs, system changes, test scenarios, test conditions, test scripts, etc.
Ensure functional/technical specifications are aligned to the EA.
