Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Wireless Network Planner to design and optimize 4G/5G networks in the Port Elizabeth region. You will plan coverage, analyze performance data, and drive deployment strategies across sites and antennas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in wireless network planning and design.
• Proficiency with planning tools such as Atoll, Planet, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of GSM, WCDMA, LTE, and 5G NR technologies.
• Solid RF principles, propagation modeling, and drive testing exposure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design wireless network coverage and capacity using planning tools.
• Analyze performance data to identify improvements and optimization opportunities.
• Develop deployment plans including site acquisition and antenna placement.
• Perform drive tests and validate network performance and coverage.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams for implementation and troubleshooting.
• Stay current with wireless tech, 3GPP releases, and vendor solutions.
• Generate management reports on performance, coverage, and capacity.
• Assist in evaluating new wireless technologies and equipment.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards.
