Job summary

Impact Hr's client, a leading telecoms player in Sandton, is seeking a visionary Solutions Architect to design and shape their network infrastructure in a hybrid role that combines remote work with on-site collaboration in Gauteng.

You will translate complex business needs into scalable, secure technical solutions, working with stakeholders across product, engineering, and clients, and guiding architecture throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, EE, telecommunications, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in telecom network design and architecture.
• Expertise in 5G, SDN/NFV, cloud networking, and cybersecurity.
• Strong understanding of IP networking, routing protocols, and carrier-grade design.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to architect complex, enterprise-scale solutions in a hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities

• Design high-level and detailed technical solutions for telecom networks, encompassing hardware, software, and services.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to understand requirements and define solution architectures.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and trends to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge and competitive.
• Develop technical roadmaps, architectural principles, and best practices for the organization.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from conception to implementation.
• Conduct technical reviews and ensure solutions adhere to architectural standards, security policies, and performance requirements.
