Job summary

ZF Foxconn in South Africa is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive performance across supplier networks and internal processes. You will lead quality initiatives, audits, and corrective actions to ensure compliance with customer expectations and internal standards.

The role requires strong analytical skills, Six Sigma experience, and hands-on SAP QM proficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage PPAP workflows, and mentor teams to sustain quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Educational degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or related quality engineering field.
• Experience in supplier quality, quality engineering or manufacturing quality (3–5+ years).
• Experience with audits, PPAP, APQP, engineering change management and customer-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure supplier quality performance meets customer, ZF Foxconn and internal requirements.
• Lead supplier performance reviews, development activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze quality using SPC, Cpk, and Six Sigma methodologies; lead root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa).
• Manage supplier non-conformance, corrective actions, containment and escalation as needed.
• Coordinate audits, PPAP, ISIR, and PPAP documentation; maintain SAP QM records.
