Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Structural Draughtsperson to join our design team in Upington. You will translate engineer designs into accurate drawings for steel and concrete structures, ensuring compliance with codes and project specs.

Ideal candidates have a National Diploma in Civil Engineering, at least four years of experience, and strong CAD skills in AutoCAD and Revit. The role offers a hybrid work model and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum 4 years as a Structural Draughtsperson.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed structural drawings from engineer designs using CAD.
• Prepare fabrication and erection drawings for steel and concrete structures.
• Ensure drawings meet codes, standards, and project specs.
• Review shop drawings for compliance.
• Maintain drawing register and document control.
• Assist in Bills of Quantities and material schedules as needed.
