Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Architectural Drafter to support residential design projects in Upington. This hybrid role involves translating concepts into precise drawings and documentation, collaborating with architects to develop plans, elevations, sections, and details for homes.

You will use AutoCAD and basic Revit, ensure code compliance and drafting standards, and assist with permit drawing sets.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Architectural Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Architectural Drafter.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and basic knowledge of Revit.
• Understanding of residential construction methods and terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details for residential projects.
• Utilize CAD and BIM software to create and modify drawings based on design input.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, compliant with building codes, and adhere to drafting standards.
• Assist in the preparation of drawing sets for permits and construction.
• Coordinate with architects and other team members to resolve design and drafting issues.
• Maintain organized digital files and drawing archives.
