Job summary

Octoco is seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer to build and deliver high-quality software across multiple projects. You will own features from design to deployment, collaborate with clients and team members, and contribute throughout the full development lifecycle.

You’ll work in a hybrid environment with ongoing planning, code reviews, and mentorship of junior developers, while delivering robust solutions that meet business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or BSc in Computer Science.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in 2+ programming languages or frameworks (e.g. C#, TypeScript, Python, .NET, React, Angular). Flutter experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Break down complex problems into clear, actionable tasks.
• Develop clean, maintainable software using a range of languages and frameworks.
• Own features or modules from design through to development, testing, and deployment.
• Contribute to system design, estimation, and delivery activities.
• Ensure solutions meet technical requirements, business objectives, and quality standards.
• Work closely with engineers, technical leads, and product stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Support and mentor junior developers in their technical growth.
• Actively engage in planning sessions, retrospectives, and team meetings.
