Job summary

Octoco is seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer to build and deliver high-quality software across multiple projects. You will own features from design to deployment, collaborate with clients and team members, and contribute throughout the full development lifecycle.

You’ll work in a hybrid environment with ongoing planning, code reviews, and mentorship of junior developers, while delivering robust solutions that meet business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or BSc in Computer Science.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in 2+ programming languages or frameworks (e.g. C#, TypeScript, Python, .NET, React, Angular). Flutter experience is advantageous.

• Develop clean, maintainable software using a range of languages and frameworks.

What We’re Looking For

• A Bachelor of Engineering or BSc in Computer Science.
• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in 2+ programming languages or frameworks (e.g. C#, TypeScript, Python, .NET, React, Angular). Flutter experience is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Clear communication and effective collaboration skills.
• A sense of ownership and reliability when delivering work.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn in a fast-evolving technical environment.
• Must be a South African citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid work visa/permit
