Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecoms Network Planner in Randburg, Gauteng. You will drive long-term capacity planning, technology roadmapping, and expansion strategies to support future services and customer growth.

The role requires 7+ years in telecom network planning, strong technical knowledge (4G/5G, IP/MPLS/DWDM), and solid financial modeling experience. Hybrid work enables collaboration on-site and remote work.

Qualifications

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in telecommunications network planning, design, or architecture.
In-depth knowledge of IP, MPLS, DWDM, fibre optics, and mobile networks (4G/5G).
Proven experience with network capacity planning tools and methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain long-term network capacity and growth plans for core, access, and transport networks.
Analyze network traffic patterns, performance data, and customer growth projections to forecast future needs.
Evaluate and recommend new telecommunications technologies and solutions to enhance network capabilities and efficiency.
Create detailed network designs and architecture proposals for network expansion projects.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment with objectives and budget.
