Placements24 is seeking a Telecom Network Planner in Centurion, Gauteng to drive long-term network expansion and capacity planning. You will forecast demands, design scalable architectures, and develop implementation roadmaps, collaborating with engineering and operations to meet performance targets.

The role combines in-office collaboration with remote flexibility, enabling strategic planning efforts in a dynamic telecommunications environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering or computer science field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in network planning, design, or engineering within telecommunications.
• Strong understanding of network architecture, IP networking and wireless technologies.
• Proficiency in network modeling and simulation tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and data interpretation skills.
• Experience with capacity planning and performance analysis methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present complex information clearly.
• Familiarity with project management principles is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-term network expansion and upgrade plans based on demand forecasts and technological trends.
• Conduct capacity planning studies and identify potential bottlenecks or areas for improvement.
• Analyze network traffic patterns and performance metrics to optimize resource utilization.
• Evaluate new telecommunications technologies and assess their potential impact and integration feasibility.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure network designs meet functional and performance requirements.
