Placements24 in Vereeniging, Gauteng, ZA is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer for a hybrid role combining in-office and remote work. You will ensure adherence to laws, regulations and internal policies within the Banking & Finance sector, with a focus on AML/KYC.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years in compliance, risk management, or internal audit, strong analytical skills, and experience implementing compliance programs; you will report to senior management and collaborate with regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's or CAMS/CRCM preferred.
• 5–7+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or internal audit within banking and finance.
• Deep knowledge of AML/KYC regulations and compliance best practices.
• Proven experience developing and implementing compliance programs.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
• Hybrid work capability and ability to commute to Vereeniging office as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's compliance program.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact.
• Conduct internal audits and reviews to identify risks and non-compliance.
• Investigate breaches and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver compliance training to staff.
• Prepare reports for management and regulators.
• Advise business units on compliance matters and best practices.
• Manage relationships with regulators and ensure AML/KYC adherence.
