Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Senior Risk Analyst to join its strategic risk management team in Pretoria. This role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the company’s insurance operations while developing frameworks to safeguard assets and ensure long-term sustainability.

You will lead analytics, stay abreast of insurance industry risk trends, and collaborate with departments to promote a risk-aware culture across the Pretoria office and organization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative field is required.
• 6+ years of risk analysis experience in insurance or financial services preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise-wide risk assessment models and methodologies.
• Analyze insurance product performance, market trends and processes to identify emerging risks.
• Design and implement risk mitigation strategies, controls and contingency plans.
• Prepare risk reports and present findings to senior management and committees.
• Monitor regulatory changes and best practices in risk management and compliance.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to risk policies in Gauteng.
